I would like to say a great big thank you for your sponsorship/donations for my recent Arctic Trek. I am pleased to say that I survived although I feel a little broken! It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do and it was certainly a real challenge. Every painful step and every frozen toe was worth it as between myself and my daughter we managed to raise £13,600 for WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR CHARITY (if you would like to donate please see the link below)

I cannot begin to express how cold it was trekking in – 38 degrees and one night the temperature dropped down to – 40 degrees so our special sleeping bags were definitely worth taking with us.
Attached are a few pictures which will just give you an idea of what a fantastic place North Finland is and I would certainly recommend anyone visiting (although I think in the summer it may be a little warmer when the snow melts!)
I was lucky enough to spend the time with 17 amazing trekkers who started off as normal people and ended up with friendships which will last forever – as a group we are set to raise over £95000 – which is all thanks to YOU and your companies
So thank you once again – myself, my daughter and the charity will be forever thankful for your generosity and kindness.
